Eid is a time of joy, celebration, and togetherness, and what better way to mark the occasion than with a makeup look that radiates confidence? Whether you’re heading to a family gathering, a festive dinner, or simply want to feel your best, a well-executed beauty routine can elevate your entire look.

This season, go for bold eyes, glowing skin, and nude lips—a perfect blend of tradition and trend with a rose gold smokey twist. From skincare prep to the final setting spray, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you achieve a flawless, long-lasting finish that will have you glowing all day and night:

Skincare prep

The most important part of your makeup look is skin prep. Start by using something similar to the Dermalogica Microfoliant exfoliator as your cleanser. Follow the CTM (Cleanse, Tone, Moisturise) routine based on your skin type. Exfoliate and hydrate well—Embryolisse is highly recommended as a base before applying makeup.

Primer

You can skip primer if your skin is well-prepped. However, if you have large pores, consider using a pore-minimising primer.

Base

Begin with a strobe cream on your entire face. For medium coverage, mix your foundation with the strobe cream. Apply concealer only where needed. I recommend Huda Beauty’s #FauxFilter Luminous Matte Foundation for full coverage and excellent shade range.

Eyes

Start with an eye primer, applying it gently with a tiny sponge. Use a light matte brown as your transition shade, followed by a medium matte brown in the eye socket. Add black on the lower lid and blend well with a blending brush.Apply rose gold shimmer to the centre of your eyelid. Use lots of black kohl and blend with a pencil brush. For extra drama, add falsies—or apply a lengthening mascara, followed by a volumising one.

Brows

Fill in your brows with dark brown brow powder. Use a spoolie to blend and shape for a natural finish.

Contour, Blush & Highlight

I highly recommend cream blush. You can even skip contouring if you apply your blush in a sculpted way. Add powder highlighter to the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, and Cupid’s bow for that luminous touch.

Lips

Exfoliate your lips with a sugar scrub. After wiping it off, line and fill your lips with a nude lip liner. Apply a matte, long-lasting nude lipstick—ideally two shades darker than your natural lip colour. Top with a nude lip gloss for a plumping effect.

The finishing touch

Use Huda Beauty’s Cherry Blossom Loose Powder under your eyes for a brightened finish. Lock everything in with a setting spray. I personally love Charlotte Tilbury’s setting spray for its dewy, youthful finish.

And just like that, with the right prep, products, and techniques, you’ll be ready to shine through every Eid celebration.
