Dubai tourist loses necklace in Hatta Dam, police dive in to retrieve it
A tourist in Dubai lost her necklace in the Hatta Dam waters. However, to her surprise, an officer from the Dubai Police dived into the depths of the dam to retrieve the valuable item.
Acting director of the Ports Police Station, Colonel Ali Abdullah Al Naqbi, said the tourist reported the loss of the necklace at the station. “Marine rescue teams promptly initiated a search and were able to retrieve the necklace and return it to the tourist.”

The officer said the Marine Rescue Unit typically responds to emergencies, accidents, and marine incidents. However, the team “always strives to go beyond expectations to bring joy to the public”.
Colonel Ali urged the public to avoid carrying valuable items during water activities.
